Changing the number to date format and calculating the total incident in a month

    Hi
I got a large excel data sheet in which the Month and year is given in one column and date in next coloumn. Unfortunately the date is in number format ( sample file is attached) and month is given in the first date row only. Anybody can help me to find the total incidents in the coloumn D and put in next coulmn automatically?

    Hi, Try the attached.
NB:- There is a slight fiddle on this code as it Places a Marker (The word "Last") at the end of column "B", to enable the code to run over the entire range.

You can do it with formulas - which row do you want the total in, or do you want running totals?

If the table were set up correctly, i.e. no empty cells in the dates column then you wouldn't need VBa, a pivotTable would be much better
    Hope that helps.
