Excel Macro Question Box - goto different parts of the Macro

I've got a macro that re-organises a collection of data I receive at work every day. Its quite long and sometimes we only need 1 or 2 rows from one bit of it.

Basically... There is a fund manager that we use at work and sometimes we have to apply certain rates to some of their funds. If we dont have to for that day, I want to be able to get the macro to delete that chunk from the spreadsheet.

So, can I have a pop up box that says something like "Are there any *name* dilution levies today?" and if it says no, I want it to run a separate macro that searches for that name and deletes all those rows? If the user says yes, I just want the macro to continue on its way doing what it it does.

    Any ideas?

Something like this, you provide the instruction code for each result:

Re: Excel Macro Question Box - goto different parts of the Macro

    Cool thanks

I had a macro that searched for the name and then deleted the rows, but when i viewed the macro back, it was set to delete to a specfic row number. This wont work as the number of rows varies each day.

Is there a way I can do a macro that brings a pop up box asking for text to search for in that cell to delete that row?

    Am I making any sense?

or maybe not even a pop up box, just a set name in the macro to serach and delete rows.

Post your code (be sure to use code tags so it reads like my post above) and point out what you want to do and where. More info.

Perhaps mockup a sample workbook showing the dilemma and your desired results, point out where the results came from if not obvious in your sample data.

Then click GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to post up your workbook.
