    Spell Checker Macro

Hi there to everyone in VBA land!

It might be a tall order but maybe someone can assist, so here goes.

I’ve a requirement to highlight where spelling errors occur in a Worksheet and so looking for a Macro to do this and ideally undo the highlighting once I’m done.

I’d preferably like the macro to identify the individual misspelt words, say by an underline or use of bold text.

Oh and if you could provide a totaliser to count the number of spelling errors detected that would be great, I've seen somethign similar using VBA in Word which does this.

Check to be performed against usual dictionary functionality.

I’ve found on-line some code which highlights the whole cell and then some which undoes the highlighting but I’d like a refinement to select just the offending words within those cells.

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Henry.

    Hk shg

That's fantastic thanks, works like a dream!

Just one small thing I'm now thinking red bold text might help better highlight the corrections to be made in a larger sheet, I tried to amend the code but can't figure it out.

Could you assist please and amend the code to give be this outcome?

    Thanks again in anticipation.

    Regards.

    Henry.

    Hi Shg

Just back from a short break, thanks for that, it does the job just as I'd hoped, brilliant!

    Thanks again for the support.

    Re: Spell Checker Macro

This solution is perfect for my needs!! Maybe I should do an Excel programming course...

In the meantime, just curious but how hard would this be for someone who has never written a macro or has no knowledge of VB/Excel programming? I've recorded macros only. I have used Excel for many years but never found the need to learn programming for Excel. This here would be a good reason to.
