    Macros and Dashboards

    Hello,
I would first like to know if there is a free or low cost add-in for MS Excel to visually show a dashboard with dials or something like that. Also, can someone recommend a good resource for excel macros that can be used with such an add in? Thanks.

    Re: Macros and Dashboards

    First Q:
Dashboards should, in my opinion, be built to purpose, as every dashboard has a different set of information to convey. Andy Pope's the graph whizz and there is a lot of great content at his website: http://www.andypope.info/

    Second Q:
Not sure what you mean, macros are also normally built-to-purpose, but you should bear in mind that they are not very portable - for "general consumption" I would recommend avoiding macros if you can.

Thanks Cheeky for the resource. Regarding the second question, I was just trying to get at how to automate some modeling functions in excel using macros. Thanks.
