    English application compatible with Korean

I have an excel application that includes forms and buttons on the forms that invoke code. It works great, but when the Korean users use the application, they get a compile error. I believe the problem is because the code references the registered trademark symbol ®. Is there anything that can be done so that the Korean users' compiler can recognize the ® symbol in the code?

    Thanks.

Think we'd need to see the code, huh?

Re: English application compatible with Korean

I'm having a hard time communicating with my users since I'm in Boston and they are in Korea, Japan and China, so I'm not sure where exactly the error is occurring in the code. I know that in the past it was the little registered trademark symbol that caused the problem, so I took it out. I don't want to do that this time because it is a part of the name of our product. Anyway, one of the solutions that they've tried successfully is to change the default system language by going into control panel ” – “regional and language options” – “advanced”, and selecting English as the default system language, then reboot the machine. They then need to change it back so that all their other files work properly. I'm wondering if there is anything else that they can do without having to go through this manual process everytime they need to run the application.

    Thanks.
