Question How to handle non-english characters in VBA?

I wrote a post on the general help section earlier (http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...eadsheets.html) asking about a specific filter for my data. I haven't found a solution yet so I decided to make my own in VBA. My problem is that I need to filter through Kanji (Japanese Characters) which are represented by "??" in strings. Is there another way I can identify these characters so that I can design my own filter? Thanks in advance.

    Hello Zepher,

This is will be a difficult project if your intent to sort by kanji characters. It will be easier if you want to remove the kanji characters so you can sort the list in English. Which do you want to do?
    Sincerely,
