Hiding headings/gridlines on opening of document

I did some searching around in the past postings for an answer to this, but with no luck.

Is there a way to hide the column headings/row headings and gridlines automatically when a workbook is opened without having the user go to the view tab and unchecking the appropriate boxes?

I found the code to hide the formula bar, but couldn't find anything on this.

Thanks for any help or answers regarding this.

It would require VBA to do it automatically, and that seems like dramatic overkill.

It's a worksheet-level setting; if you save a workbook that way, it will reopen as it was.

Ok that works. I was under the impression that it followed the settings of how each user had setup their excel worksheets to be displayed.

But you are right that it's not a big deal. I'm just fine tuning my workbook and code and I thought it looked cleaner without the headings.

    Thanks for the quick response.
