    Macro To Record Time Keeping

    Hi all,

I am currently involved in running an exercise to monitor the time spent on different activities. For example the activities could be :

    Incoming phone calls
    Outbound calls
    Email queries
    Training
    Meetings

I have done this exercise before very manually by asking people to input time spent on a spreadsheet. What I am now looking at is having a button for each activity on a spreadsheet which when clicked would start a stopwatch to record the time and either when clicked again would stop or have two buttons for each activity, start and stop.

Is this possible and would i be able to view the results in a tabular format.

Why don't you set up your table that will contain the results and post the workbook, then I can add button or perhaps a form to record the time into that table. I'd suggest a start, stop, and total time for each activity.
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?

It will save both time and effort in the long run!

Try this. You need to add buttons & columns for the other categories
    Attached Files Attached Files
    Hope that helps.

New member, so please excuse my lack of protocol and knowledge! I like the timekeeping log, but if you set up multiple activities to track, how do you keep someone from clicking on another activity button before stopping the previous activity? In other words, each activity has to be mutually exclusive...they can't be doing more than one activity at the same time (in my instance). Thanks for your help!
