Need help creating formulas that include a not to exceed a value option, etc.

Help! I need some help with some excel formulas.

I'm an accountant by trade and was asked by a superior to try and figure out some formulas.

The first formula I need to create is that a cell equals a number, but cannot exceed an income number I have.

The second is about the same thing, but the cell cannot exceed 90% of the income number I have.

Next, if there is any amount left over, say my loss is 100,000, but my income is only 95,000 then I would have 5,000 to carry forward. I need a formula that would calculate this 5,000 example but cannot exceed the 95,000 income number.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
