    e-mail list management and cleanup of bad names.

    Hello guys.

    I have a question for you all. Have been searching with no luck.

    I have a sheet with two collections of e-mails in two different columns.

    In Column A, I have 13,000 e-mails which are from the master list.

    In Column B, I have 6,000 e-mails which are bad names.

    I like to take the contents from Column B and then remove all the names from Column A.

    Thank you!

    This can be done with a worksheet formula and the AutoFilter. The process can then be recorded into a macro.

    You can remove the row insertion and deletion if your data already has "titles" at the top of the two columns.

    JBeaucaire,

    Thank you so much!!!

    Please excuse my total ignorance, how do I go about entering this information to sort the list? I'm a designer by trade and excel is completely abstract to me.

    How/Where to install the macro:

    1. Open up your workbook
    2. Get into VB Editor (Press Alt+F11)
    3. Insert a new module (Insert > Module)
    4. Copy and Paste in your code (given above)
    5. Get out of VBA (Press Alt+Q)
    6. Save your sheet

    The macro is installed and ready to use.

    ========
    Press Alt-F8 and select DeleteBadAddresses from the macro list.

    ========
    If that takes care of your need, please click EDIT in your original post, click GO ADVANCED and set the PREFIX box to SOLVED.
