Still need help with Color start and end dates on Gnatt chart"

I need help on creating an if and formula. I believe I have most of it but it doesn't seem to be working for whatever reason. Basically what I need is based on a start date(K20) and an end date (L20) I want to create a gnatt chart by filling in the cell with a colour based on those dates. See attachment. Sorry I can't seem to attach right now. but here is the formula that I have in cell CC20.

=IF(AND(CC$9>=$K20,CC$9<=$L20),1,"") and so forth for the following cells up to CZ20.

So for instance if ABC company on line twenty has a project dated from Apr 1-30, I would like cells CC20-CZ20 to be coloured, which represents Apr1-30th.
