    Changes in Rank

I'm a teacher and want to create a music style chart for behaviour in my school. I have 278 pupils in the year ranging from -38 for behaviour points (very naughty) to 14 points( very good)

I want to publish the top 40 each week showing whether students have gone up, down or if they are a new entry.

I know how to rank but the next stage in above me.

if you can help I would appreciate it very much.

With that many students, ties will be all over the place. Be sure to decide in advance how you want to order the list with that many ties.

Thanks for the response. I've attached a similar document to the one i will work with. All I want is to add another set of data the following week and for it to show how the group has changed. who's gone up , down and by how much etc.

    cheers
