Is VBA possible on this output or does this require just a SUMIF formula?

I have a file attached, what I want is to do a SUMIF based on 2 condition, one is "Date" and the other is category.

I'm trying to do a sumifs but I just can't get it right. I'm thinking if a VBA be possible on this Data.

My sample file is attached, I have a DATA tab where I get all the Data and the OUTPUT tab where I hope I can do the formulas right.

    Thanks!

    no VBA needed here....

If you're using XL2007 (implied by your upload) then you should look at the SUMIFS function in XL Help

Pre XL2007 you would use SUMPRODUCT however, I would make the point that given data volume you're invariably better off concatenating the criteria fields @ source and using SUMIF - searching for the concatenation.

Depending upon requirements a Pivot Table would also be ideal (see link in sig. for general intro if unfamiliar)
