Auto Filter by InputBox - filter by user defined column

    Hi All,
Thanks for the help with my problems so far.

I've got this code that right now runs an Autofiler on Column F only.

Would it be possible to have an InputBox at the start of the macro to ask the user what column they want to filter by and then filter by that colum?

The columns to run the filter on would all be dates so the rest of the code would stay the same.

The columns that could be filtered are Column I to Column AW but they're every second column, not consecutive.

The above code does exactly what I want it to do for Column F so there aren't any issues with it - it works perfectly - Thanks to Deamo for that.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    John

Re: Auto Filter by InputBox - filter by user defined column

I've had a look around the forum tonight and came across a Sort by input Column macro that I though I could use so after playing around with it to suit my needs I did manage to get it to do what I wanted.

Here's my code with the new bit added in & it works great.

As you can see, I've left the new code much as I found it.....That's because I didn't know what to change the "Sort" on the end to ???????
What should I change this to or as it's working as it is could I just leave it as is?

Here's where I found the piece of code I used

Thanks JBeaucaire, I'll give you credeit for helping me solve this one indirectly.

I have tested this macro on most of the date columns and it does seem to be working without any bugs but if anyone wants to have a look at it & verify it for me I'd appreciate it.

I've also attached the updated workbook on this post as well so this is the one to look at.

    Thanks
    John
