Writing to all xlsx files in a directory

Is there anyway (preferably thru VBA, although I can handle python c/c++/c# or any other languages that aren't too complex) where I can take a bunch of text, and simply write it to a specified cell for every xlsx file in a given directory? I have the vba code where I can READ from them... but writing... I'm not sure. Also, I don't want the files opened (there are a LOT). Just writing some text to a specified cell in each of the workbooks.

I've never tried this but it might help:

Use code tags when posting your VBA code:
Your code here
