    Pivot Table Item Selecting

    Hi,

I have a large sheet with loads of tabs, each one containing a Pivot Table.
I want a macro that can set the visible items on each one, according to a table on the first tab.

I think I have most of what I need here but it seems to cause errors on certain items and is just not working properly.
Apologies for my messy and amateurish code

Can anyone see what might be causing the problems, or perhaps a better way to do it?

Unfortunately the workbook is too large to attach here.
I am using Excel 2003, but want it to work in 2007 as well.

    Re: Pivot Table Item Selecting

I think it might be because some of the pivot items are named the same..

How can I remove or rename any duplicates (quickly).

OK duplicate names is not the issue.

I can record a macro that creates this:

When I run it like this in the Immediate window, it sets to False ok, but has an error when setting to True.

    RUNTIME ERROR 1004
Unable to set the Visible property of the PivotItem class

I get the same error when using the PivotItem's index number instead of the name.

    Any ideas why??
