Is it possible to do a search and replace of partially formatted string that looks like this?

    05010700.2

    replace with

    05010700.2X

I know this seems like a really simple task but I've been having difficultly with it because it's only partially underlined.

I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to do.

Do you want to replace '0700.2' with '0070.2X'? A simply Find and Replace works fine for me.

    Find What 0070.2
    Replace With 0070.2X

It's not just a simple search and replace.

    05010700.2
    05010700.2

    replace with
    05010700.2X
    05010700.2

I want to append an X to all the cells that are partially underlined.
