    Financial Formula help

    Hi all,

I could need some help regarding an excel formula.
I have to upate a financial calculator which is calculating intercompany loan costs for certain periods. There is a cell which is calculating the nominal interest with the following formula:

    =AUDNominalInterest(I16,B8,B2,F12,B5)

I dont understand what exactly this cell is doing. The cells which this formula is refering to are as follows:

    I16: amount e.g. 5.600.000,00
    B8: Rate 1.80
    B2: Nominal amount: 10.000.000,00
    f12: days 365
    b5: Interest days: 30

Is there anybody who can explain this formula? It is somehow calculating the nominal interest rate with these information. I need to know where this formula comes from and where I can find it in excel.I am not really into excel so maybe someone can help me with that...

    Thanks in advance

AUDNominalInterest is a user-defined function that someone has added to the workbook.
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

    Re: Financial Formula help

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
    Hope that helps.
