Autofill Macro Help!

Hello,

Just recently getting back working with excel. I have a simple problem that I cannot figure out how to solve.

I want to autofill(autopopulate) rows in a column based on a user input ( a pop window would be ideal but I could deal with just putting a value into a particular cell).

I need a date filled down however many times the user puts in, and it has to be the same date in the following format:

11aug2010

However, I do not want the above data in the format of a date. I need to tranfser this data into another program that will not recognize date values only if it is in the above format.

so.. for example.

The user could but in the date

12aug2010

and then the number of times the want the above data ( button, cell, user input window)

so example 10.

Then the data would autopopulate to look like this

11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
11aug2010
