To add the column heading, update the value of cell D1 after you've inserted the column:

Re: Insert/Add new column/s with heading name

    Thnx mojo,

I am looking out for some more help on the code mentioned in post 1.

In the below code I am searching a value in first column of another sheet and if value present then its returning me the last cell of the row where that value is present

Now the code I am looking for is as below:

Step1. Find the value in another sheet in column 1(which the code is already doing, which I have made bold above)

Step2. If the value is present in the sheet for e.g. on row A14/any row no. then find value 1 i.e. numeric no. 1 in the columns(cells) on right side of that cell i.e. A14.
Note: There are 8 columns present on right side of A14 i.e B14,C14,D14, E14,F14,G14,H14,I14 but we need to find the numeric no. 1 in 6 columns only i.e. B14,C14,D14, E14,F14,G14

Step 3: If value(numeric no. 1) not present in B14 then find in C14, if not in C14 then find in D14 and so on till G14.

Step 4: If value(numeric no. 1) present in any cell for e.g. if it is present in E14 then return the first value of that column i.e. cell E1 and add it to D1 of Copy of Extract1 workbook.

I got the logic but unable to code it down and my loop is not running properly.

Hope you get my steps please let me know if you need more details from my side. I am attaching two sheets for your reference.

I have also marked the output which I want in yellow in workbook “Copy of Extract1”

    Pankaj
