    Count Unprotect Sheet Attempts

    Hi Guys
I'm relatively new to VB, and also new to this forum, so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place.
I am currently trying to add some code to a workbook that will count how many attempts have been made to unprotect a sheet (the sheet is already protected by me).
After x amount of attempts, i would like the workbook to close.

Is there any function I can use??
I understand that it isn't possible to trap an unprotect event... is this correct?
If so, is there a way for excel to listen for errors or events in order to log unsuccessful attempts?
I have tried looking around on the web, but so far haven't found anything useful.
Any help you guys might be able to offer would be really appreciated!

(I'm using excel 2010 if that helps at all.)

    Cheers
    Matt

    Welcome to the forum.

    Yup.

I think if it could be done at all, it would require a bunch of Windows API, which would be the very deep end of the pool if you're just starting out. I wouldn't have a clue as to where to start looking.
