making a summary sheet

Hi ppl,

Before proceeding with my question lemme give you the following information

1) OS:- Windows xp
2) Excel version :- 2003

Ok here goes,

Now suppose I have some data already present in Sheet 2 of excel, say cells A1 to A10. I want these cells to be copied and pasted one by one to cell A1 in Sheet 1 , wherein the cell A2 in Sheet 1 checks a certain condition and displays the result as "YES" or "NO".
Now I want a summary of this "YES" or "NO" for the values pasted in cell A1, Sheet 1 (10 times in a cycle) to be pasted in Sheet 3 in consecutive columns from cell A1.

How to go about doing this. Any help is appreciated.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Ok.

I am attaching a worksheet. I hope you understand it better now.

Basically I am looking for a macro program.All cells in sheet A2 (where data is entered) should be pasted (via a macro) to cell A1 of sheet 1, one by one ONLY. Thus the cell value in Sheet 1 cell A2 will keep on changing. I need to record this change as a summary in sheet A3 for all the cell values pasted from Sheet 2 columnwise. For eg the The cell value in Sheet1!A2 should be pasted in

Sheet3!A3 when the value pasted is from Sheet2!A1
Sheet3!B3 when the value pasted is from Sheet2!A2
Sheet3!B4 when the value pasted is from Sheet3!A3

and so on..
