    Angry Disable the msgbox beep?

Im on a computer at work and have restricted access to it's settings.

I have already tried the bios, regedit and a few things in control panal that I am allowed to play with like the sounds and audio deviced window. Despite changing all these the beeps still occur.

Is there any code that can disable it for my macro userform?

Any suggestions appreciated, it's driving me mad, lol.

Not sure how to disable it but at least this type doesn't beep:

    Not much help probably.

If you assigned the 'No sounds' scheme in CP, I'm pretty sure that should stop it

It doesn't thats the weird thing, I thought it would to myself.

Changing settings is not a possibiltiy. I have tried all that I am allowed to modify. It's down to the network im on, there must be an overridding program or setting that I can't access. So my only option is code..

I thought there would have been some kind option for audio alerts. Perhaps VBA is just to high level?

The sound is controlled by Control Panel, so I suspect your admin restrictions are preventing you from actually applying the setting.

I always make a point of making 'friends' with someone in IT where I work. By that I mean bugging the hell out of them until they increase my rights to the point I can change and install pretty much anything I want to

lol, the setting definatley is changed, I have rebooted several times and settings have stuck that I applied, including the registry.

I did make friends with the IT guys but I think they don't like me anymore because I keep on telling them what to do, lol. oppps.

I think I'll call it quits on this and just disconnect the speaker when no one is around...

So it shows up in Control Panel as the "No Sounds setting", with nothing set for the 'Default beep' sound?
