    Prevent editing

    Hello!

I would like to know if there's a better way of doing this.

I work with an excel file along with other users in the network. When the file is open by any user, I can only opn it in read-only mode.

I want to prevent editing in this file whenever it is in ready-only so that anyone can't change it thinking it's the "write" version.

I use this code in the Workbook Open event:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
This works fine but has flaw. The user has to choose "enable content" in macro security notification.

How do I bypass this? Can I use an Add-in for this? (and NO, I don't to choose the option to run all macros from ALL workbooks that I open in my computer )

    Thank you for your help!
