    Link to another tab doesn't stay local?!

    Hey, I tried looking for a solution for the past hour so if someone point me to a thread they;ve read or tell me off-hand I would appreciate it!

    Simplified Problem:

    I have a template workbook called Template_Test that has tabs: I have cell D1 in tab 7900 pointing to cell D1 tab 7900-B

    I then deploy my macro so that the two tabs above are made into 50 seperate files, each containing the two tabs and it's link, I find that D1 in tab 7900 is linked to the original Template_Test file instead of its own local workbook.

    Does anyone know how I can keep the link between the two tabs contained in their own workbook????

    Thanks!!!!

    How does your macro create the files?

    Btw, "structure" is the tab that simply names the 50 output files..

    Try copying both sheets at once:

    Thanks! BUT, how would I fit this line into the code?

    Although I didn't create this code, I have to maintain it and any help to get it perfect would be much appreciated!

    It worked!!

    That was such a seemingly simple solution, you're great!

    Thanks

    Re: Link to another tab doesn't stay local?!

    Hey, I was wondering if you could help me out one more time?

    It seems like the files are being created with the two templates correctly but I have the following problem:

    in my Structure tab (this tab dictates what folders, files and tabs are to be created) I have 5 columns starting from A2:

    A2 = Folder name
    B2= Subfolder
    C2=Filename
    D2=Tabname
    E2=Also Tabname but written inside the cell

    Example:

    http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...t=untitled.jpg

    My code is suppose to create those two tabs for every "part" in the same file. So File "11Plan Hyundai" would have 6 tabs (3 7900 and 3 7900-B).

    Right now it's only looking at the first "part" and creating two tabs and skipping the rest.

    Do you know what the problem could be, i've tried multiple solutions...

    Thanks so much in advance.

    Be useful to see the actual source file (censor any confidential info, but the basic structure must be correct) and the full processing code.
