    Smile Update PowerPivot

Unfortunately, there are no APIs available to program against regarding thr PowerPivot Add-in. The add-in majestically creates a bridge between two or more islands but the bridge is missing a 12 foot section in the middle making it difficult to cross.
I believe that Microsoft has demonstrated a remarkable breakthrough in the ability of the user to aggregate data and make it a seamless stream to the workisheet, but they are a few months away from making it user friendly. On the server side, of course, there are ways to work around this but, for me, I need a bit simplier solution.
I have worked around this issue by creating a worksheet pivot table pointing to the text file of interest. I have written code to update the stream. For now ,this will be fine, but the differences between the technologies are vast and I hope to use the PP as soon as it's brainlilne and mine are within stricking distance.

I have Excel 2010 and PowerPivot.

My scenario consists of a text file linked to a PowerPivot linked to a workbook Pivot table. Manually, I can refresh the PowerPivot and the Workbook PivotTable. However, to do this using vba you have to be a rocket scientist.
Does anyone know of a simple way to update both pivot types so that current data is shown in the workbook?
