    Password protected files

Is it possible to password-protect an Excel file in such a way so that it can only be unprotected on a specific machine (computer) or machines?
In order for this to make sense, the file always needs to open as password-protected, even if it was last saved after the password protection was lifted...

This sounds like wishful thinking, but maybe someone has an idea or two?

    Thank you.

    No.
You can however use Windows security if the file is on a network.
