    Separating data into two worksheets

    Hi,

I'm looking to separate the data in a worksheet into two other worksheets; one called labor, the second materials.

The data (sample attached) is to be split on the basis of the value in column H and both worksheets should carry the first line so that I keep the headers for a pivot table as the next step.

Is there someone who can help with this please?

I can't see why you need to separate the data, especially as you say it is for a Pivottable in the next step. Just create a Pivottable from the data
    Hope that helps.

Re: Separating data into two worksheets

    Hi,

The reason for wanting to separate is that the column which carries hours for labour sometimes carries a "1" for material costs and vice versa

This is a historical problem with our system and the data is approx 10,000 lines long

    Thanks

    Louise
