Automatically transform format of excel sheet

    Hi,

I have a load of excel documents with exactly the same format that I want to change to a different format. Is there anyway of automating this process or do I have to go through and change each document manually?

For example each document may have "forename" in cell A1 and the value in A2 with no formatting and I want these values in the new sheet to be in B3 and B4 with "forename" in Bold and underlined.

    Is this possible?

    Many thanks

You could make the changes in one workbook and record the actions you take in a macro. I often save temporary things like this in a separate workbook, for example, TMS Macros.xls. I open that before the actual workbook(s) and the macros are available. Just open a new book, run the macro, save the book, close it and move on.
