copy & paste a specific content

Hi there,

I have a column of text (more than 500) that need to copy & paste a specific content from it.
Here is how it looks like:

MET-F77Cev:RETLNT
MET-F048Rev:REPLNT.CONT
HOT-M308Tev:REPLNT
MET-F0092Rev:REPLNT
COL-F098Aev:TUBPLTA.DIS

Here is what i need it to be:
MET-F77
MET-F048
HOT-M308
MET-F0092
COL-F098

I cannot keep highlight what i need and then copy & paste. it is more that 500.
Is there any formula or Marco can be use to make it automatic.
