Program to copy certain data that meets criteria into new spreadsheet?

I listed an example below but I'm doing this for a research project and we need a quick way to extract raw data in 3 sections (highlighted in red) for each exercise. Each of these fields are listed as individual cells and needs to be extracted so we can do our calculations.

Is there a simple Excel program I can write to pull this data? I would need each of these fields copy / pasted into a new spreadsheet.

    thanks in advance!

    EXAMPLE:

    BACKWARD DIGIT SPAN EXERCISE
Fri Sep 17 09:07:04 2010 : Time and date of exercise
    : Subject identification
    1 : Session number
    600000 : Test time (milliseconds)
    1000 : Stimulus time (milliseconds)
    1000 : Inter-stimulus time (milliseconds)
pair # String Answer Response Result
    1 642 246 642 Incorrect
    2 871 178 178 Correct
    3 4651 1564 165 Incorrect
    4 3864 4683 4863 Incorrect
4 : Total number of digit spans
1 : Total number of spans correct
3 : Total number of spans incorrect
0 : Total number of spans unanswered
    3 : Maximum span correct

    Hi there,

This should be fairly simple to do, but it would help if you posted a small sample so we can see the layout of the data dump. For instance the section you've pasted are they just the headings, also is the data aggregated by row or column?

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
