Querying alternative workbook/imported access table and updating fields accordingly.

Hey all....

Im not a Excel guru by any means infact I hardly use it but have been asked a question and thought I would give it a go in finding the answer and maybe learning about Excel at the same time.

First post so please be gentle with me.... What we are trying to achieve (if possible) is to update a sheet based on the input of another sheet. So whereby sheet A consists of rows of users with colums of times of work I would like this to update sheet b which doesnt have the felds in place. Apologies if this isnt worded correctly as I say I still have my "L" plates on.

You probably are looking for lookup functions. I can give you some examples in the attached w.book. Also go thru the other posts in this forum. I am sure it will help. And posting a sample file will help others to help you better.
