Changing "old style" buttons to "new style"?

I have several macro buttons that look very old school. Is there a way to select a newer style of button in excel?

Secondly, what is the difference between a regular button and a "command" button? (Active X?)

You can put any picture you want...

Download some picture from internet that you like and assing macro to it.

Or insert new shape or button. In XL 2007 you have lot of desings that you can apply to your shapes.

Yes, of course one can use a picture of a button. However, it would lose the mouseover affect had by an actual macro button. I was not sure if Excel just had different mouseover buttons to choose from.

Afraid not. Buttons are buttons. The Forms version has fewer events and properties but is more stable on a worksheet generally.
