compile error - user defined type not defined

    Good Day,

Hope somebody can assist me - I'm a newbie trying to learn some basics.
I've followed the directions in this link.

    http://www.vb-helper.com/howto_use_vb_dll_in_excel.html

I get a compile error - user defined type not defined.
The reference is active in the excel file - I'm thinking it sees it but doesn't seem to be reading it?
    Appreciate any assistance.
    thanks,
    Tailor

    Hello TMP123,

    Did you try this?
Before you start this, you should consider implementing the DLL's features within Excel using VBA. That is a lot less complicated although a DLL may give you better performance for very complicated calculations.

By using Visual Basic instead of VBA, you may be needlessly complicating the situation. Tell us what you want to do. Be sure to include sample data, that mirrors your actual data, and before and after examples.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
