    Streamline Data Retrieval Process

Every day at work I download files from several different websites (all requiring logins and passwords) and replace old data with new up to date data.
My current process is as follows:
    1. Manually log on to website, find and download file
    2. Open file and move new worksheet to into my spreadsheet
    3. Find and replace "old worksheet" with "new worksheet" for entire spreadsheet (also, this misses any named ranges I use).
How can I automate this process as it has become quite time consuming to get the data from all the websites.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

    hi Joe,

I realise this is quite an old thread now, but, do you still need any help with this?

If so, I suggest recording a macro by pressing [alt + T + M + R] in excel of your excel-based actions and then posting that in this thread.

    Re: Streamline Data Retrieval Process

    Hi Joe,
Is the file(s) name the same on the net, or is there a different name of the file you find, each day?

I do a similar process where I need to find and click on the filename and then all else is automatic. Automatic means I've written a macro to merge in all new data.

I use Dynamic Named Ranges in the main sheet so different size of rows won't change the formulas.

I guess we need a sample or more information about what you do daily.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
