Find newly opened file and copy 1 column

Hi... I'm working on a project where a series of about 300 have to be opened, and the data from their attachments consolidated into a single file.

I have a some code which will open each mail item (the email system is proprietary, not a web based or Microsoft type of product) and open the attachments. The problem is, I don't know how to then grab the file and import the used range in column A. The file names differ, but always end in .csv. Is there a reasonably easy way to identify the file, copy the contents from column A, then paste into my consolidated workbook?

    Thanks for any guidance!

    Hello JP,
    1. Can this system save the attachment (CSV?) to a folder?
    2. Is it on your hard disk or the network drive?
    3. Is the CSV actually an Excel worksheet?
    4. Where is column "A"?
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Hey Leith... sorry for the delay... got more snow here in NJ and took me a while to dig out and get in.
Anyway, I left out some critical info...
    - The way our system here works - when an attachment is opened, it's automatically saved to a local repository called "C:\blp\data"
    - I have my preferences set up such that any .csv file opens in Excel
    - Not sure what you mean by "where is column A" - all the pertinent data in the csv file, when it opens in excel, is in the first column of the spreadsheet. I'm trying to copy the used data and add to my primary file.

Hope that helps, and as always, your time is greatly appreciated!
