    type mismatch in 2010

I have VBA code that works fine in Office 2007 but returns the "type mismatch" error in 2010. Specifically, I am trying to automate Outlook from Excel. I set a reference to the Outlook 14 object library and then write the code:

This is boilerplate code right from online help, but the last line produces the type mismatch '13' error message in Excel 2010. Does this have something to do with the Exchange settings?

    Re: type mismatch in 2010

Hi Bryn's Dad and welcome to the forum.

Normally the type mismatch error happens when the parameter passed to the function is of the wrong type. Example like - It is looking for a Text string instead of a value or a Range instead of a value. I found a site that might explain it at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313800

    hope that helps.

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code. Posting code without them makes your code hard to read and difficult to be copied for testing. Highlight your code and click the # at the top of your post window. For more information about these and other tags, found here
    Hope that helps.
