Using SUMIF across multiple columns

I am using this code to look at a column and if it contains "READING" it will look for the corresponding position in CJ117 to CJ156 and add them all up.

The problem is that the word "READING" could appear cross eight columns, BS to BZ. I've had mixed success with the following formula, sometimes it works and sometimes it does'nt but I can't work out why. Is there a better way of doing it.
