    How to name graphic files

I have a worksheet that has multiple icons, i.e. small jpg's. These are on the sheet simply as a place to store them. The idea is o use VBA to place them on a different worksheet in the same workbook. I can place them where I want them if I save them to an external file (jpg, gif, etc.) , but I really am trying to keep everything in the same book.

Is there a way to give these a name, so that I can programatically pick them up one at a time (copy) and place them on a sheet ????

    Thank You in advance.

    Bob

Select the shape and use the Name Box (next to the formula bar) to edit shape name.
In xl2007 you can also use the Selection Pane to display list of shapes. You can alter the name via the pane
