Sorting a specific group of columns by a member of that Column

This should be pretty cut and dry but like everything else I am attempting...it is not working...so in hopes of not embarrasing myself I will just tell you what I am trying to do...(Without recording a Macro)...
    1. I would like to know how to say...Highlight cells in Q:Z, columns have a header and sort by row W, keeping all rows aligned.
    2. then I would like to know how to say...Highlight cells in Q:Z, columns have a header and sort by rows V (first) and then by Y, in the same sort, keeping all rows aligned.
my issue seems to be i want it copied all the way down and be compliant in all versions of excel?

*so basically all sortable data is in row 2, and cannot go past column Z

Very perceptive, this is why I wrote, in hopes of not embarrasing myself..but lets just say I used the record a macro, and ctrl pasted down to highlight everything in the column, I assumed this would work the same regardless of how many rows, but then I am thinking it is stopping after it reached the number of rows that were initially highlighted, which will not work.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
