I'm looking for a way to compare information across two differing sized ranges. The number of rows in columns in the two ranges also differs from day to day. But basically it's columns A to F where column C has a persons name and Column E has an event time, each person in the list takes up two to three rows, this is range 1. Columsn A through J where column C has a name and column E has an event time but THESE events can be up to 10 for EACH person. There may be a person in range 1 that does not exist in range 2 and there may be a person in range 2 that does not exist in range 1, but probalby 90% of them exist in both. I need to take the FIRST event time in range 1 and add it to a column BESIDE the FIRST event for range two, then take the LAST event in range 1 and put it beside the LAST event in range 2 ONLY, NO other event times matter. I need to compare the TWO times to see how many HH:MM:SS exist between the two times and put that out into ANOTHER column. I need to do this for each person that exists in Range 2, with all the data (two new columns) being added to range two's worksheet.....
I know that is about as clear as mud, but it's the best I can describe it. To take a step back from it, I've got a list of names, dates and events and the time that the event occured, and a list of times those events were SUPPOSED to occur. I need to put them all on one spreadsheet for comparison to see how much out of adherence each person is.
