Getting <REMINDERS> from a CLOSED WORKBOOK in a fixed path

Is it possible to get REMINDERS from CLOSED WORKBOOKS

I have Tabulated most of the Payments due for Different Insurance Policies in Excel..

However, inspite of this there's always a possibilty of still missing the payments if the WorkBook or File is not checked for the recent payments..

Is there anu WOrkAround where without Opening the WOrkBook it generates some kind of MsgBox prompt or any kind of Indication on the screen on reaching a particular date before the payment due at a specified time.

I am always spending an Average of 15 hours on the computer with this file so it will be handy if I get a prompt then..!

P.S. I am aware of conditional formatting but thats not what Im looking for I am looking for some kind of Reminders or Alarms to Buzz when the particular date is met and at a specified time..

Application: It can be used to even remember Birthdays or Important Days such as Anniversaries..etc
ofcourse right now for Premium Payments..
