Change image based on cell value

I tried searching for this, but the search seems to be broken at the moment.

I'm trying to set up a metrics tracking sheet, and when a value changes I want the cell adjacent to it to change from a green dot, red dot, or yellow. I know that there is a rule that changes the cell the value is in, but I want the cell next door to change.

If anyone could point me in the correct direction I would be much obliged. Thanks!

Re: Change image based on cell value

You're talking about Conditional Formatting and you need to refer to a specific cell within the row. To do that, you need to make the column reference absolute and use a formula as the condition.

For example, if the cell that changes is in column B, use =$B2="... the value ..."

Probably easiest to post a sample workbook.

Re: Change image based on cell value

I'm thinking That if I manually change the value from 100% to 60% the Green dot in the adjacent cell would change to Yellow.

    Is that any clearer?

I think you're going to need VBA for this. You've actually got two shapes in the cell, a circle and an arrow line.

You might want to rethink this.
