Lightbulb sheet level range names in excel 2003?

    hi,

I am creating a workbook with graphs that would be best defined with (dynamic) range names (which refer to data in the same sheet), but the problem is that in the same workbook there will be almost identic 20 or so such sheets, so workbook level range names do not seem like a good idea

I worked breifly in xl2007 and there was easy to define sheet level range names, but did not see the possibility in xl2003 any ideas/workarounds?

    thanks!

    Hello,

Use Insert > Name > Define
enter the name of the range like

    Sheet1!MyRange

This way, the scope of the range name "MyRange" will be for Sheet1 only.

    cheers,
