How do you hide or disable the quick access toolbar?

    Hi There,

    I need your help.

I cannot find anywhere on the web as to how to disable or hide the Microsoft Excel Quick Access Toolbar. I do not wish to hide the ribbon but only that toolbar.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

    Much thanks in advance,

    Cheers,

    Jason

I think the closest you can come to 'hiding' it is to remove all the buttons from it and take the check mark out of the box that says "Show Quick Access Toolbar below the Ribbon". That can be found at the bottom of the window found by clicking on the Office button - Excel Options - Customize.

    Right click on ribbon
    >customise quick access toolbar
    >uncheck (at bottom of window) 'Show Quick Access Toolbar below the ribbon'
