    Macro editing help. title splitter

Hello, first of all thank you very much for taking the time to look at my problem. I have had a macro made by the forum moderator "Leith Ross". Its function is to extract data from titles in received spreadsheets based on recognised patterns and paste it adjacent to the cells within the datasets below. The pattern codes are within the macro.

In the attached spread sheet the macro does almost everything it needs to do, except it currently recognises (#)
in pattern 2 and 3. In my example spreadsheet "#" was supposed to represent a number. In pattern 2 this number is a single digit between 0 and 9. In pattern 3 the number can be 1 or 2 digits. Also this pattern looks for "TT" i believe, in the example spreadsheet the TT represents any letters or text there.

I have edited dataset two to contain more representative data. That hopefully can also be split by the amended macro.

    Many thanks for any help

    All the best

    Alan

    Hi Alan,

This post goes with several other posts with issues and problems relating to the same data set, that to my knowledge no one has seen yet.

You keep asking for help yet you don't seem to be willing to help us out with some real bogus data that will let us see what your looking at. (A complete picture).

This type of matching requires seeing some of the original data or at least some type of real data. Something with numbers, words, spaces,"-" "#" "(" and so on. With out something to go we are all just guessing at what needs to be completed.

So please take some time create a dummy workbook with some data that represents what you are working with or seeing so we can help you with your problem.

Try to keep this all in one post as it appears to be much about the same issue's.

I apologies to the forum if I am over stepping my boundaries.

    ...
    Thank You, Mike

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

READ THE FORUM RULES AND FOLLOW THEM, IT HAS BEEN POINTED OUT TO YOU YOUR VARIOUS THREADS THAT YOU DON'T FOLLOW UP, DUPLICATE& USE POOR TITLES
    Hope that helps.
