multiple users cannot access and edit the excel file at the same time.

    Hi,
My excel file cannot be accessed and edit by more then one user at one time. If one of the users is editting the excel file, there will pop up a message with " Read Only" when others are trying to access to it. What is the problem with my excel file? Is it something wrong with my VB coding?

    Looking for solution and reply...

    Thank you.

There's nothing wrong with your Excel file. This is by design.

You can choose to share the workbook but this is fraught with problems and not recommended.

If you want to share, you're probably better choosing Access

    Dear TMShucks,

What you means by Access as I am still new to this and I am required by my supervisor to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

Access = the Microsoft Access database
