move multiple files to multiple folders by their name

I need to move multiple files to their corresponding folders.

My data are image layers along with supporting files. They start with a location name and each of them need to go to a folder with same location name.
for eg. Ward_N_pr.tif
Ward_N_pr.aux
Ward_N_pr.xml

These all go to a single folder named Ward_N

similarly
Bark_boy_N_SW_pr.tif
Bark_boy_N_SW_pr.aux
Bark_boy_N_SW_pr.xml

these three go to folder named Bark_boy_N_SW.
And there are >1000 of these kinds that all need to be moved to their respective folders.

Can anyone help me with my problem?
