    Control Forms or ActiveX Control

    Hi

Is it possible to have a Control form or an Activex control asociated to a specific cell in a spreadsheet? Is there any property I could change to get control fixed in this cell?

I previously tried to do this working with "data validation" function, but this function does not allowed me to used a "source" that is in a different sheet.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Martín

    Hi Martin,

You can use Data Validation sources on other worksheets, you just have to give the source range a name. For example, if your source data/list is on Sheet1 in cells A1:A10,

    1. Select A1:A10 on Sheet1
    2. In the name box (just above and to the left of cell A1) type a name for your range, e.g. "MySource"
    3. Create your data validation cell in the other sheet, and set the 'Allow' drop-down to List, and in the Source textbox type: =MySource
    4. Click OK

    Hope that helps!
