    Combine and Total sales data into new sheet

    I don't think this woudl be very hard but am not sure where to start.

    Basically I have a list of orders that contains one line item for each item ordered. SO one order might have 5 rows if they ordered 5 items.

    What I want to do is jsut get a total for every order and have it on its own line.

    So if the data was something like

    Not really a programming question.

    1) Use the ADVANCED FILTER on column A to give you a list of the unique order numbers in a new column, say column G.

    2) Put a SUMIF() formula in H2, like so, then copy down:

    =SUMIF(A:A, G2, C:C)

    =======

    Or highlight all the data and apply a Pivot Table to get a sum of the Order Numbers.

    Yet another alternative ..
    highlight your data range and use Subtotal from the main Data menu
